The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person, it's learning to love the person you found.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner . You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit).
Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU .
People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.
Falling in love is easy It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria(excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies , instead of being cute, drive you nuts.
The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.
At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.
Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.
And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love.. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy And most importantly, it takes WISDOM . You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.
Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage. Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships.
Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.

A day of Fishball Girl

Just came back from Joey's wedding chalet from Pasir Ris, the place is kind of "ulu" to me as it's quite deep inside Elias Road, actually any place that don't belong to the north sounds "ulu" to me, haha. I am a mountain tortoise from Yishun and I am proud of it, hoho! She is actually one of my staff and the thing I want to mention is that she's 24, which is also my age! Seriously, I still cant imagine me getting married at this stage of my life, it feels so weird for me to think that I am someone's wife. Scary!!

But for my dear friends, you all can get married soon ya, cause I can't wait to attend my buddies' wedding! Haha!

Back to something more demoralising, work is ... ... once again speechless.

D'julz at Zouk

Was at Zouk last night to celebrate Wilfred's 30th birthday and also to catch D'julz as well. As usual it was mingster's recommendation as mingster is very into tech house and D'julz has been a DJ/producer he's been into since the early days of his DJ-ing. He plays quite alot of D'julz's productions. But yesterday night Zouk was pretty empty, we were guessing probably it's due to the opening of Butterfactory + the many other parties going on last nite, haha.

Back to my rantings, recently I've got so much shits to complain to my friends and just bitching non-stop. But I just couldn't help it, it's like the actions of those people are just intolerable and disgusting and gross and yucks and shitty and ...... (it really can goes on and on).
I am freaking tired and feeling shitty cause I lost my two precious off day (Yesterday's a PH + Sat's my off day) due to some reason which is not supposed to be my problem, but end up somehow it became my problem.

Ok, actually I am not sure whether you guys understand what I have written, I can't/ won't/ don't want to describe it in details but one thing for sure is it's freaking irritating.

Cam-whore pics from Zouk :

Paris Hilton's My New BFF

Peeps!
If you all like bimbo, no brainer tv show like I do, such as America next top model or Project Runway etc, I've got a new ( not exactly very new) one to recommend you guys!

Paris Hilton's My New BFF! I would rate this the most bimbotic and lame among the ones I have watched, but still it's not a bad choice for passing time. By the way, I spent a full whole sunday to watch it, non-stop marathon, haha. I know I am hopeless.

That's why I told you I am getting dumber.
"TTYN" (After watching it, you will know what it means, haha)

The link to watch it online:

It's not as easy as it seems, so shut your mouth.

Work has been.. what should I say.. speechless.

Looking/ playing with him makes me happy, my cutest sai boi.
I think I'm going insane, starting to talk to non-living things.

I'm getting dumber.

My face is rotting. Real bad.

My complexion is so damn jialat, scars all over, it's like never ending pimples popping out. Ahhhhhhhh...!! Rotting rotting rotting.. Super demoralised.

Trimmed my hair.
Bought Katjes Jellies.
Bought Coco Chex and HL milk.
New notebook for the year.
Above photo by mingster.

Just another rotting day with a ROTTEN face of mine!!!

The weather is killing me!

Why is the weather so hot??!? For the past whole week, the weather is so hot and humid and suffocating! It's like the air blowing out from the fan is warm and even after your shower, within 5 mins you will start feeling sticky again. ARGH!!
What has the world become to? Is this like some sort of global warming?
Save the earth. Save the earth.

Some of the few munchies I'm addicted to recently:
Katjes fruit Jellies! This is a new flavour that's brought in to Singapore. So far after trying so many flavours, I still prefer the raspberry hearts flavour! My all time favourite!

Japanese yeast bread that I bought from a mini mart at my house downstairs. It was surprisingly soft and yummy! The texture is indescribable, you really have to taste it to know what I am talking about.

A cadbury chocolate egg. Mingster bought it from the airport for me, he likes to buy new chocos for me to try out. =) So, the size of it is about an actual egg and I didn't know that there's fillings inside and it tastes like condensed milk, but what I want to say is that it's freaking sweet! Way too sweet! It felt as though after eating it, you are gonna have diabetes soon, haha.

Canon Ixus 100 IS

OMG! This is so damn nice! I love the matt black and the red! Saw the black one in real, it's super gorgeous and the price is very reasonable as well, cost $469. I want one of these!! But it's so hard to catch up with IT products man, it's like never ending and will always have nicer and more powerful stuffs coming up, argh.
Anybody interested in my Canon Ixus 70? Haha..

Newly added

Happy Earth Day people!
Hope you guys did something "green" today to show your love to our Earth.
Ok, back to my life.
A new card given to me by mingster! Basically, he will always make it a point to make me a new card on different occasions and I love handmade cards loads. But I looked so ugly in this card, argh! Cause he says I am always irritated when he spins and complaining he's disturbing my TV session. Whatever.
But I still love the card, it's exactly like my room!
My newly added DW-6900! It belongs to a series called Men in Black aka matt black Red Eye Pack, which is military special forces inspired and supposed to be a Japanese exclusive, I'm surprised the series came to Singapore! Somehow it reminds me of Batman, haha but still it's darn nice!

As usual, we bought the new Stussy magazine and the freebie this time was good! A notebook with a leather stussy cover, so nice.

Lastly, it's an eco-friendly reusable shopping bag we bought at Metro. It's from this brand called Envirosax that produces environmentally friendly bags with designer prints on it. It's made of waterproof lightweight polyester so that you can bring it around without adding to the weight of your bag and the best part is that it can be rolled up and packed away!

Stop using plastic bags and bring your own shopping bag. Anyway it costs $12.90.
Visit http://www.envirosax.com/ if you all are interested to see what designs they have. The kids series are all so cute! Love it!

I miss having off days on weekdays

Took leave today and spent the whole day with mingster walking around town. I miss those days where my off days are on a weekday cause I really hate crowds and squeezing with people.
Nike x Hideout Air Woven Footscape vs Air Max 90 V-Day 2008 edition
Late lunch at Fish & Co.
As usual we ordered food that's more than 2 persons portion, a seafood platter for 2 + a fish and chips. Hellava Full!
Close up shots to let you guys how yummy it was, hoho. Shit, I am hungry again.
We tried our best to finish up all the seafood and leave the rice and chips behind.
It's Paragon time.
Surprisingly, there was this Gucci tote bag that I think was not too bad and the pricing is also quite reasonable for the brand. It's $680. I mean I was never a label person ( I love streetwear!), but $680 for a Gucci bag should be kinda cheap right. * worth considering!
Banana pudding from Muji. It sucks, tastes like cough syrup to me. Waste my $2.30!!
Acting tourists and taking shots with the Courtesy Lion! Haha.
Mingster likes this window display of Hermes at Galleria, particularly this weird USB thumb-drive freak with handphone charging cables as hands. Looks kind of dumb but yet creative to me, haha.
And over at Galleria, I saw this Marc Jacobs bag that I like too! Should I or should I not?
An artsy shot from mingster. Guess what is this?
Answer: A macro shot of a straw.
Home sweet home.

Another clip of the day

EMBED-Susan Boyle Stuns Crowd with Epic Singing - Watch more free videos

Susan Boyle from Britain's Got Talent.

Seems like right now she's the hottest search on Youtube. She's a 47 year old Scottish who looked unattractive and so ordinary that the judges and the audience were so skeptic that she won't have a good vocal. But she proved them wrong! Her vocal performance amazed the crowd and instantly she gained her fame by singing " I Dreamed a Dream" (though I dont know how to appreciate this kind of song genre, haha).

Still, I was kinda moved at the end of the clip when I can almost feel the joy from her expressions. Nice.

Lindsay Lohan makes fun of herself.

Lindsay Lohan.
One of my favourite Hollywood celebrities despite all her crazy actions, being a hardcore clubber, alcholic bla bla bla, I still love her style and is always clinged to all her news.
This is an eHarmony ad she did for Funny or Die which she practically makes fun of herself, feeling kinda pathetic for her that she has to be in such a state, but still..
Kudos Lindsay!

Still Irritating Shit.

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!

Shitass people are always non appreciative and constantly asking for more without giving any form of encouragement. You just talk without using your shitty brain and taking everything that has been done for granted. I would never want to be like you for being such evil and treating your surrounding people like trash.

Bloody %$@%^&!*$%!!

I want to believe that all human beings are kind in nature.
I want to believe that when you treat someone good, he will be good to you too.
I want to believe that when someone is good to you, he's not being hypocritical.

Just be simple people, don't complicate yourself.

April 14, 2009

Irritating shit.

I can't describe in words just how irritated and pissed off I am due to some sort of reasons. No matter how much bitching I do is still not enough to rant out all my "pek chek-ness".

Pain in my ass you shitty people.
Holiday. Holiday. When will my next one be? Planning planning.
Shall I go Taipei? or Japan? or nearby places like KL? I want a break!

Anyway shall pop by Tampines soon, it seems like Uniqlo is so hyped up now, but that time when I went to HK's Uniqlo outlet, I was not able to find a single item to buy. But Serene! I was amazed by how much you spent at Uniqlo man, hahaha!

My last weekend at City Hall with mingster before heading to Pauline's birthday party.

Just love the colour accent function of my Canon camera.

The new Canon Ixus 100IS is so damn nice! Especially the red and black ones! Why can't we trade in old cameras? They should make it like how handphone trade-in works, it will be so much better for alot of pple! Haha.

Late late lunch over at Northpoint. The mee pok is kinda nice, it has a strong vinegar taste which me and mingster like!

Splash of red.

Desigual.

One of the shops we saw at Marina Square. Was attracted to their tees, it's not that I like the designs or what, it's the tees' prints and colours were too eye catching. But the tees are crazily expensive, like $150 for a tee, wth.
